Christ [is] come.
Let all creation sing.

on the first day of June,
i fastened a peruvian bracelet
to my right wrist.
its origin, however, is less important
than the significance bound up in its knot.

on the eve of the eve of Christ Mass 2006,
it was forever loosed
as a sign

on the first day of the new year of 2007,
i will return to a place where
i have often mistaken
knowledge for knowing

just as this is written
still i am being completed

yes sir.

During this Advent season i have been asking Christ to come to me personally in new, fresh ways and to break into my life with greater measure than ever before. Since this season began (which was actually much earlier than december 3, as the cap’n recalls). i have had this odd (and Spiritual, as i’d see in hindsight) sense that i was being prepared for something rather out-of-the-ordinary.

this week Jesus has broken into my life in a most amazing way, and with this coming He has totally shaken up the events that have, do, and will characterize my life. however, i will not reduce His advent into my current situation as simply an episode in a chain which links together to form a journey or a story (buzzwords are important in connecting with audiences). for His coming in this way should be the very essence of the story itself.

join with me in making sense of that statement.
